Madhuram Aparajita

Ms. Madhuram Aparajita is an Indian lawyer and social activist. She is a practicing advocate at the Delhi High Court and presently heads the law and policy advocacy team of disability rights NGO Evara Foundation. Madhuram is also an external legal expert since May 2017 and takes care of all the law and policy-related aspects of WeCapable.com. She has played an instrumental role in the establishment of our YouTube Channel Dashamlav and continues to support the channel.

Madhuram hails from Ranchi, Jharkhand. She is a law graduate from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. She started her legal career as a corporate lawyer and worked with companies like Vedanta Limited and Bharat Aluminium Company Limited. Madhuram has in-depth knowledge of legal compliance related to human rights laws. She also runs various legal awareness campaigns at regular intervals through various virtual platforms.

In 2020, when India got hit by the migrant workers’ crisis amid the prevalent COVID-19 virus, an Emergency Response Task Force was formed under the leadership of Madhuram Aparajita by the Evara group (later registered as Evara Foundation in July 2020). The team provided food, ration, medicines, and other emergency support to over 15000 migrant workers. It further ensured safe and secure travel for over 6000-7000 migrant workers. She is also responsible for managing public interest litigation (PIL) filed by Evara Foundation on at-home-vaccination for persons with disabilities before the Supreme Court of India.

Madhuram has been recognized for her contribution in the field of disability rights by Eyra Magazine and she was conferred with “Nurturer of the Year Award 2020”. Apart from law, Madhuram has a deep interest in literature, cinema, and science. Madhuram also hosts special programs for All India Radio as a Subject Matter Expert.
